I claim my art goes through no preconceived development but rather comes into being as the motion begins. I've realized over time this is only partially true. There is a great deal of preparation-of listening, intuiting and remarking that takes place in the time before the paintings first stroke. The search for deepest meaning, for that greater sense of connection to things larger than self which is the goal of all my work, builds in the seemingly mundane tasks of cleaning, organizing and sorted that occur prior to paint on canvas. All these, tasks and painting, form the fluid finished piece. My aim is that the energy and vitality that draw me to paint, are what also draws the viewer and captures them with the same force that put brush to canvas in the first place. Alongside, a deep sense of seeking the elemental nature of all things resonate in the process of creating my art. Taking things back to the purest of color, the simplest of materials and the clearest of intentions are the goals that drive the passion of my works creation.
